Salon TEXTILE & HOME presented an exposition of home textiles, which undoubtedly complemented the INTERFABRIC - this was noted by both visitors and participants.
"Our company is engaged in the production of terry fabrics and terry products: bathrobes, towels, other home textiles," says Mr. Shavkat Khamidovich, founder of Great-Kokand from Uzbekistan. - We are glad to participate in such a status event. At this exhibition our company is exhibiting for the second time. We came here for the first time last year, and then participation in the exhibition exceeded all our expectations. Therefore, we decided to participate this year as well. I am the founder of the company but I always personally and gladly take part in exhibitions. And I am glad to participate in such a good, productive Salon TEXTILE & HOME".

"The main product of our company is home textiles: we are engaged in the production of fabrics for blankets, dressing gowns, pajamas; the assortment includes faux fur for the production of, for example, slippers, - says Anna, sales manager of the Changshu company. - This is not the first exhibition for us - I personally am here for the third time. The INTERFABRIC, in my opinion, is one of the main textile exhibitions in this country. This year as always everything was well organized, we like everything. The economic situation is rather difficult now due to the pandemic, so it is very interesting to see what other exhibitors represent. I think that the INTERFABRIC exhibition - Salon TEXTILE & HOME - is a very good opportunity to find new customers and new suppliers. "

For the first time, the presented business program of the Salon became an integral part of the Russian textile forum "Development of the textile and light industry in Russia: the experience of the regions." It included many practice-oriented events of interest to textile and interior designers, decorators, planners, home textile business representatives, as well as meetings with renowned experts in the field of design, textiles and light industry in general.

On September 7, a meeting was held with Ms. Anna Pronskaya, the author of lectures "Textile Interior Design" and "Basics of Composition for Decorators" at the "Details" School of Design and the British Higher School of Design, a member of the Association of Object Design Specialists. An open conversation "Guide of technologies and novelties in textiles for home and interiors" touched upon such important topics as innovations in textile design, patented technologies, non-trivial solutions when working with textiles.
Also on the first day of the exhibition, Mr. Roman Salnikov, an expert in the field of textile design, head of the Decortier showroom, held an open conversation on the topic "Review of fashionable prints and collections -2021 textiles for home and interior".
Interior designer Elena Lagutina held a meeting "Not about decor. What should a designer take into account at the design stage, so that it does not hurt excruciatingly when hanging textiles." The participants of the meeting analyzed 10 main mistakes when working with textiles at objects, the nuances of implementing textile projects when installing a "second light"; learned how to properly arrange furniture and lamps, what to take into account when installing electric cornices, heard tips on organizing panoramic windows, convectors and heating systems.

On September 8th,2021 a large number of events were also held in the business program area of the TEXTILE&HOME exhibition. One of the most interesting was the meeting "Advertising and PR tools on the way to promote a textile decorator", which was held by the founder of the salon of curtains "Atmosphere" Alexandra Naidenova, a practicing textile designer with more than 11 years of experience. What methods of promotion exist today and are most in demand – famous designers, bloggers, print and online media? Which tool should I choose to promote my product? How to set the final goal and choose the right path of promotion to achieve the result? From these general issues of PR promotion, Alexandra moved on to discussing specific tools that should be used to advertise textile salons, and how to competently create and build a PR campaign in the textile business.
The issues of business promotion, but from a slightly different angle, were considered at the event "Personal brand and career of a textile decorator". The public talk was held by Oksana Kashenko, the author of the program about luxury interiors on the RBC TV channel, the editor-in-chief of the portal roomble.com. The questions of the participants were answered together with her by the design artist Marina Strelkova, the head of the studio stho.ru, textile decorator, certified specialist of the Institute of Management and Informatics. The participants focused on such important topics as the feasibility of working on a personal brand, what is a unique personal offer and positioning, how to determine your target audience and what are the main methods and tools for working on a personal brand.
What are trends, whether they have "life cycles", what is their duration and what makes up their relevance, the guests of the exhibition learned at the event " Trends in design. The essence, not the form." The meeting was held by Viktor Dembovsky, a designer, a historian of architecture and design, who graduated from the S. G. Stroganov Moscow State Pedagogical University and completed internships at the Royal College of Art (London) and ENSAD (Paris).
In addition, within the framework of the business program of the TEXTILE&HOME Salon, business meetings were held between Russian representatives of legal and financial institutions to discuss new business development opportunities in modern conditions; buyers, entrepreneurs and large businessmen of the Russian light industry to analyze exhibition activities from the point of view of opportunities for promoting goods; representatives of educational organizations of the light industry – colleges, universities, studios – who discussed the real prospects for choosing a designer profession.
"The salon has commissioned," Lada Romanova, Director of TEXTILE&HOME, summed up. – This is a long-awaited topic, which was very much missed by INTERFABRIC. The exhibitors are very satisfied. A huge number of visitors, companies did not have time to process the flow of their customers. No one thought that there would be such an influx, such an interest in this particular segment. We are very happy that we have finally launched the Salon, and we are sure that it will actively grow. We invite companies - both with fabrics and with finished products – to take part in the Salon next year. After all, exhibitions are the best marketing tool for experts in our industry, where visual and tactile sensations are extremely important. And nothing else has been invented yet for our textile industry."
