The exhibition will discuss the integration of folk crafts into the interior textile history

On March 11, a meeting with the expert "How we walked around the world. Folk crafts and their integration into the interior textile history" will take place in the Beach club Trend zone (Pavilion 3, balcony). Time of the event: 14:30-15:15.

Anna Pokhlebina, a practicing interior designer and decorator, CEO, head and creative director of the Matilda Skameikina Workshop company, will speak as a speaker. The expert has been working in the field of interior textiles since 2002. She has successfully implemented more than 2 thousand projects in private interiors and more than 150 in public interiors, more than 5 thousand samples in the showroom.

The second speaker will be Natalia Zorina, an expert in the field of textile design. She has been working in this field since 1999 and is the author of the annual trend book on interior fabrics, as well as courses for textile designers, annual review presentations, webinars on new exhibitions and trends in textile design.

The participants of the event will be able to get acquainted with an overview of the formats of folk art crafts, which will include everything from cross stitch to bead embroidery of the peoples of the Far North.

Examples of the adaptation of folk craft techniques into modern textile and interior history will also be given. Experts will discuss with the participants the importance of customization and personalization of textiles, as well as consider the preservation of folk crafts as the basis for preserving the cultural and historical code.
